Hello, my name is Henry; owner of Henry's Put 'Em Up Kennels. With my family I've been breeding, working with and raising boxers for 15 years, and
we still can not get enough of them. Much like any breed, we have had our challenges with certain individual dogs. However, it has never been some
thing that was not easily remedied. I'm always surprised when I hear stories about people who own a boxer or know someone who does, and talk about how
crazy/hyper they are. Every dog has it's moments, but we have never had a boxer that was 'out of control.' Every boxer we have has brought us endless
amounts of joy and plenty of funny stories to share with others.
I have had boxers since I was a teen and can be credited with introducing them to my family, both immediate and extended. Boxers have won a top
place in my heart, but they are not the only breed of dog I have owned. Since I was a toddler, I have always had a dog or two. Most people who know
me have said I have way with dogs. I have been in the military or working in similar fields for 15 years. In that time, I have had the opportunity to
work with many types of dogs in both professional and personal areas of interest. In all of my experience, I enjoy obedience training the most and
strongly feel it is the base and cornerstone to any type of dog training (even if that just means having a solid family pet around the house).
As a family we have incorporated boxers in to every part of our lives. They live with us in our home, travel with us, and share our personal family
time. Everyone in our family participates in daily chores, including our boxers (who help our children out of bed in the morning so they don't sleep
the day away - those of you with teens know exactly what I mean).
As much as boxers have touched our lives we feel it is our responsibility to protect not only our own pets but the breed itself. We take great care
choosing our boxers for breeding to ensure they are of strong AKC standard and will continue to be excellent ambassadors of the breed. We are proud of
our boxers and feel confident that once we have whelped a litter and made it ready for its new family, it will be a wonderful addition and live up to
our high standard as a family pet.
